The Wild Springs Solar Project is a 128 megawatt (MW) solar project located in Pennington County, South Dakota in the Southern Power Pool market, and is connected to the New Underwood Substation. The project is anticipated to positively impact the environment by offsetting approximately 3.86 million metric tons of carbon dioxide, as well as positively impact the local economy by producing tax revenue, jobs, and charitable giving through an education fund.
