Portage Solar Project

About Portage Solar
The Portage Solar Project is a 250 megawatt (MW) solar photovoltaic electric generating facility proposed to be located in Portage County, Wisconsin (the “Project”). The Project will span approximately 1,800 acres and will include the construction of a new Project substation and a 115-kilovolt (kV) transmission line less than 500 feet in length. This will connect to existing Plover Substation owned by American Transmission Company (ATC). The Project is anticipated to positively impact both the local economy and environment by producing significant tax revenue and other economic benefits for the area, and offsetting carbon dioxide emissions by an estimated 308,600 metric tons each year – the equivalent of taking approximately 72,000 cars off the road.
